Kevin Venables - Head Honcho

Started NW Mobile DJ Service in January of 2001.

I worked in local radio in the mid 80s - Top 40, Jazz, and Country. I also DJ’d private events part time starting in 1997.

My favorite event is the one I’m working at the moment! Company party, Wedding, Anniversary party, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, etc – YOUR event is my favorite!

We provide fun – we’re there to help people have a good time! What job is better than that?

My greatest strength is my experience. I’ve worked all kinds of events all over the west coast for over 20 years both as a DJ and full time musician. My music knowledge and being the Emcee/Announcer is who I am!

When not DJ’ing events I like to spend time with my family, playing bass guitar, and relax in Mexico!

Richard Lopez

Started with NW Mobile DJ Service over 15 years ago.

I also DJ night clubs, car shows, and at different kinds of venues.

I really don’t have a favorite type of event. They’re all different, and that makes them all my favorite!

My greatest strength as a DJ is my ability to read a crowd and react with the right song. I don’t play music for me, I play it for the client, and when it’s the right song at the right time…….it’s the best!

When I’m not DJ’ing events I enjoy recording music and BBQ’ing with friends!

Matt Oakes

I have been with NW Mobile DJ Service for a couple of years, but I have been DJ’ing events on my own since 1995.

Weddings are my favorite. I enjoy a variety of events, but weddings seem to be what I do the most, and every one of them are fun!

One of Matt’s strengths is his uncanny talent for picking the perfect song to keep the party hopping all night long. Whether it's a classic hit that gets everyone singing along or a fresh track that ignites the dance floor, Matt knows exactly how to curate the soundtrack for an unforgettable celebration.

When not working or being with my family I enjoy attending sporting events.

Shawn Rosenthal

Started with NW Mobile Mobile DJ Service Nov. 2015

I also DJ middle/high school events such as winter formals and proms.

Favorite type of event is weddings because of how unique each can be even while being very traditional.

My greatest strength as a DJ is my communication with clients and adherence to the planned schedule of the event, while still remaining flexible enough to make changes on the fly if needed.

Outside of DJing, I play drums in a band and watch movies like my life depends on it.

James Yeager

I have been DJ’ing events in the Portland area for 30 years.

I love all events but weddings are a favorite! I love it when a couple and their guests are dancing hard!

My greatest strength as a DJ would be putting two songs together that people wouldn’t expect to create a unique mash up - and picking songs I know the crowd will enjoy!

When not DJ’ing I enjoy meeting new people, hiking and other outdoor activities, going out dancing and singing karaoke!

Kevin Weisgerber

While new to NW Mobile DJ Service, I’ve been DJ’ing events for years.

I like DJ'ing weddings and private events.  With weddings, this is a very important day in people's lives and I love to be a part of that to help make sure they have a great day.  Private parties are similar in that I want to make sure that their party goes well and that everyone has a good time.

I feel my greatest strengths are accommodating to people's needs, reading the room and coordinating with the host/hosts.

I love to be outside in nature taking walks or short hikes.  I like playing golf, swimming in rivers and lakes and having some drinks with a nice atmosphere with some friends.

Chandler Venables

It almost feels like a badge of honor saying that I started working my first wedding show when I was 14 years old! I primarily stuck to expo’s, open houses and everything on the marketing side for years, and I worked more weddings than I can count. After much convincing, I’ve finally picked up the microphone and began telling people at open houses “Yes, I can DJ your wedding!”

I love working events with crowds that love to dance! Whether it’s weddings, company parties, or the occasional birthday party!

My greatest strength would have to be my ability to communicate with clients and connecting with other vendors to create a wonderful experience from behind-the-scenes.

When I’m not spinning tunes at parties, I’m usually found on a local volleyball court, or out exploring the PNW with camera in hand!

Vic Sorisio

I have been providing DJ Services for over 20 years in the Pacific Northwest area.

Weddings and family celebrations are my favorite type of events. It’s an honor to entertain at family celebrations, seeing smiles, dancing and making memories

My ability to read a crowd, getting them to dance and sing along and bringing the fun to the party are my greatest strengths.

In my free time I enjoy playing and recording music, and spending time with my family.

Erik Petersen

I’ve been working for and with Kevin for about 15 years and it’s been a great ride. I started with no DJ experience, however, Kevin trained me and keeps training me to be the DJ that I am today.

I enjoy working wedding receptions and having the opportunity to make people happy, and to help make the event to be memorable in an upbeat and positive way.

My strengths are figuring out a good progression of songs to play (I love the 80’s!!). And working with other vendors to have the event run smoothly, and being able to think and react quickly when things aren’t running as smoothly as they should.

Outside of DJing I enjoy hanging out with my wife, I like to golf, and I enjoy driving to various destinations.
